Route 51 paving project to begin tonight in Jefferson Hills

A $5.8 million resurfacing project is scheduled to begin tonight on Route 51 in Jefferson Hills.

Crews will mill and repave 4.3 miles of the road between the Elizabeth Bridge and Coal Valley Road.

Lane closures will occur in both directions starting at 8 p.m. weekdays, with restrictions lifted by 6 a.m. daily. The project will continue into December.
